Boy oh boy, did I cook up a storm this past weekend!
I don’t know what hit me but I cooked FIVE Christmas cookie recipes (well four cookies, one muffin) and it was all super fun.
It definitely got me in the Christmas spirit.
All in all, it took about 4 hours.
Here are the five recipes I followed, all from other bloggers:
For all my gluten-free friends: Almond Flour Frosted Sugar Cookies
I don’t often use Almond Flour so I didn’t know quite what to expect here, but for gluten-free cookies, these came out great! Healthy and good. Win, win.
A request from Sam: Cranberry Walnut Maple Muffins
We both love anything maple-flavored.
Have you ever cut a muffin in half, spread butter inside and seared them face-down on a pan?
Damn good idea.
One of my favorite things to make: Chocolate Chip Biscotti
These are perfect dipped in hot coffee. 😉
If you’re more adventurous, try pistachio and cranberry biscotti.
Anything gingery is great to me: Chewy Gingersnaps
I knew I wanted something that involved pecans: Butter Pecan Cookies
Soooo buttery. 🙂
Such a fun day baking lots of goodies.
I plan on bagging these up and sharing them with friends and family.
What are your go-to holiday recipes? I’m always looking for new ideas to add to my collection.
Have something sweet,
Ari
