Meet Me On The Mat: The Good Getter Celebrates One Year!

Good morning,How was your weekend? Hopefully relaxing and filled with some of your favorite things.I'm so happy to share today's post...

Wow, where did the year go….?!I can’t believe today marks one year of writing as (and on) The Good Getter.Jan21.jpgI’ve always been so passionate about writing and blogging (heck, that’s what I do as my career), and taking on The Good Getter at this time last year was definitely a leap of faith.I remember asking myself... do I have the time, the drive, and enough to share/write about?Of course I did.Everyone has whatever they need already inside them. I had it all ready to go.I had previous blogs (remember Tumblr?), but they just never stuck. But still, they were great outlets and ways to share my life—and that's the part I missed.Committing to three posts a week on TGG didn’t seem too ambitious to me at the time, but between wedding planning, being away on our honeymoon, working full time, and traveling back and forth to the east coast, it soon hit me that this blog was a way bigger commitment—and that was a good learning. My mission was to connect with my readers, inspire, and have fun. And that's still my #1 goal. I just wanted to show off all the good in life and TGG has been a nice platform for me to do that. While there are still so many things I want to do with the blog—such as grow my readership and connections with other bloggers—I’m proud of where I’ve taken it over the past year and how consistent I’ve been. It wasn’t always easy to find the time, but with the passion there, you end up making the time.I’ve enjoyed sharing my life with you—and slowly but surely, I’ll share more.At first, I was a little unsure of how personal The Good Getter should be, but after looking over my past posts, it seemed that the stories that resonated most with you have been ones about Sam, my family, and fun things I do with my friends. So, looks like you guys are craving more about me in general ;), so that's what I plan on delivering.Favorite Posts On The Good Getter Over The Last Year:Out of the 153 posts I've written this past year, you guys sure made it clear what you liked reading most.My wedding posts were definitely the ones that resonated most with you.- Our June Wedding (posted on April 17, 2017)- My Bachelorette Party In Boston (posted on April 24, 2017)- #PartyLikeSamAri: Our Wedding Day (posted on June 19, 2017)- Wedding Tips From A Recent Bride (posted on June 23, 2017)I guess you guys like reading about Sam and I. ;)061017_08_mg_0263.jpgI definitely have some stand-out faves. All the love on social media through comments and likes, and all the readers who come back day-after-day to read my latest posts means a ton to me.This year, I'm determined to grow my readership and expand what I write about and how my content is shared. There's so much to learn about blogging and I'm literally JUST getting my toes wet. What I'm asking (and it's not much!) is that my friends and family share more about TGG to those that they know. Share a post on Facebook you see and like, comment when you have an opinion on a post, and make sure you follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest. That's it, guys. ;)If there's anything you want me to look into/write about (particularly in the Los Angeles area), let me know. I'm always looking for new content to explore and amazing photo opportunities.I'm all ears.Anyway, thank you again for all your support. I can't wait to take on 2018 with the best readers and friends around! You guys are the best.Have a happy Monday,Ari
