FAQs
I’ve never done yoga. What should I expect?
You’ve already taken the first step — showing up. Come to the mat with an open heart and mind. Let me guide the way with mindful movement, soothing breathing exercises and an expansive flow that will have you feeling supported, energized and connected. Yoga is an ongoing practice. Modifications, adjustments and helpful cues are always offered.
What style of yoga do you teach?
My favorite form of yoga is vinyasa flow, which links breath to movement. It’s a great way to tune into the body and mind, and move in an authentic, rhythmic way. I focus deeply on breathwork and intention setting, and leave you with nuggets of wisdom to consider off the mat. In addition to vinyasa, I love teaching prenatal (more chill) and power flow (more fast). Whichever style you take with me, you’ll feel stretched, present and empowered by the end.
What do I need for class?
A yoga mat, blocks are nice-to-haves, and a bolster and/or blanket for added comfort.
What are the benefits of yoga?
Where do I even begin? Besides feeling more calm and centered, yoga gives you the space to explore your heart, reach new limits and feel your body in fun ways. It’s a self-care practice that is always available and you can take wherever you go, and a practice that deepens over time.
I have a health condition or injury. Can I do yoga?
Yes, let’s chat! I would love to assist you in your yoga journey and find the most comfortable, easeful way for you to practice safely.
