Feel Good Friday: Date Night Jar

Good morning and happy Fridayyyyy!!This week has been so busy, how bout you?Work has been picking up and my schedule is just bananas lately. I need a day to just chill, haha. :)Anyway...Today's "Feel Good Friday" post is something you and your significant other can take part in together. :)

Ever feel like going on a date a little different than the usual? Something more adventurous than the typical dinner-and-a-movie (which funny enough... is what we did last night, LOL)?Well, I have an idea for you that you just might fall in love with - a date night jar.20180125_222226.jpgI think I first found this idea on Pinterest (gotta love Pinterest) and gifted Sam it for a Valentine's Day gift.He loved it.20180125_222312Not only is it so much fun to make, but pulling random date ideas from it never gets old. And, the best part has to be surprising each other by adding in new date ideas as you think of them. Keep 'em a secret so it's more fun pulling dates. There are a few ways to create your date jar, but here's how I did ours:1. Get a good size mason jar, markers, and cut paper/popsicle sticks.2. Write a list of date ideas, from cheap, to so-so, to pricey/require more preparation. ($, $$, $$$)3. Use a color guide for prices and amount of preparation needed.4. Feel free to decorate your jar like I did.5. Just pick a stick and go!20180125_222409Here are some ideas to get your creative juices flowing:-go to a live comedy show-go to Barnes and Noble and pick out a new book each for each other-get fancy coffees and go on a walk around the park-go to an opening night for a movie you've been waiting to see-buy a date night outfit together and then go to a nice dinner-play your favorite songs for each otherJust have fun with it and get adventurous.Sometimes the best dates are the most unusual/unexpected.20180125_222255.jpgSince Valentine's Day is right around the corner, it could be the perfect time to craft something like this for your special someone. You can even pick a date out as your first "jar date" for Valentine's night. Just a thought. :)20180125_222203Need some more inspiration?Head over to Pinterest. They've got you covered.Have a great weekend.Do something fun!See you Monday,Ari
