What I'm Wicked Into: My Current Bedside Book Collection

Hey guys! How's the week going? Up to anything fun?I have been feeling really inspired this year so far to "live my best life." I know that saying can sound a little corny to say out loud, but it's really the only way I know how to put it.What I mean by my "best life" is living with intention and deliberately showing up for myself with whatever it is that I'm doing—work, yoga, conversations, social gatherings, meetings, and reflections.Living in the moment and true to myself.I've been getting real with the nitty gritty of life and having conversations with myself about happiness, growth, and success.Part of my nightly routine has included reading. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not the biggest bookworm and haven't consistently picked up/kept reading a book for a long time. Not sure if it's just my tired eyes/mind or the lack of interest, but reading just hasn't always been at the top of my list.I've always admired consistent readers. They're witty, smart, dedicated and imaginative. I know so many friends and family members that read daily and I've longed to have it part of my life too. That's why this year, I've been making it part of my daily life, even just for 15 minutes before I doze off for the night. So what have I been reading lately?I'll show you. You'll see a theme here... haha!1. Brené Brown - Braving The Wilderness20180127_130949.jpgI've always loved watching Brené's interviews on TV and online. I love the way she speaks and what she has to say. I had heard a lot about her newest book, so I ordered it online a couple weeks ago. I'm just about done. It has really opened my eyes to different life topics like politics, community, and what "true belonging" means. With each chapter, there are new things I consider that I hadn't before and "ah hah" moments that leave me wondering what my truest values are. It's a great one to get the mind ticking.2. Oprah Winfrey - The Wisdom of Sundays20180127_130956.jpgWho doesn't love Oprah? The woman is so wise and equally as kind. I knew I wanted to read this book the minute I heard about it, so when Sam got it for me for Christmas, I was pumped to dive it. It compiles all the things she learned in some of her most memorable interviews over the years on Supersoul Sunday. I love how you can just read a little a night and end the day more inspired and full of love.3. Lewis Howes - The Millionaire Morning20180127_130942.jpgI discovered Lewis a couple years ago and his story inspires me. He was broke on his sister's couch and made himself rich by staying dedicated and learning tools online he needed to succeed. This is more of a booklet, but it's a fast read that is motivating all the way through. If you need a boost to get started on a project, or you aren't even sure where to begin with something, Lewis can show you the way.Other reads I've just started getting into...Dan Zadra - Five and Meera Lee Patel - Start Where You Are20180127_1310081.jpgMy friends know me so well. Joey and Holly gave me these for Christmas and I was so grateful for them.I've started both of them but want to make sure I have the time to really sit down and digest these ones, so I plan on getting more invested in them this month. These books are more like ones you fill out and put your thoughts in. Very excited to see where this journey of writing and reflecting takes me!What are you currently reading? Are you a dedicated reader or are you like me—haven't really made the time but are motivated to do so this year?!Would love to hear your stories.Have an awesome Wednesday,Ari
