Feel Good Friday: A Random Post Because... I Missed You!
So...It's been one week since I've posted on the blog and I have to admit, I've felt guilty every couple of days about it.Why?Well, I'm big on commitments and writing's my passion, but I've realized lately that there's just not enough time in the day sometimes to make "it all" happen. How many things do we have to accomplish before we feel like we've done enough? Ya know?I feel like it's ingrained in us to keep going and going until we crash.I've felt this way the past few weeks. With my new role and all that I'm learning, I just felt like I needed rest and thoughtfulness at the end of the day over blogging. It was a conscious choice I made to take care of myself (even if that meant letting my blog take a breather). And, shit, it's been hard to not feel bad about it. Even ask Sam, haha!I've been so great about keeping my blog going for over a year, three days a week, but you know... that doesn't mean I'm failing just because I'm not keeping that up right now.I've kept being honest with you because I've so appreciated your support on the blog—all the times you've read my posts, shared, and commented. I just didn't want to leave you hanging, wondering where I went.I may not be blogging every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday these days, but I promise to keep popping by and regularly posting on Instagram. That's where you can find me most when I'm not always writing on here. Thanks for understanding and letting me be a bit more irregular with my posting. <3In case you've been wondering, here's what I've been up to this past week.On SUNDAY, I checked out the Pasadena Farmer's Market with Maria. We walked around the city, got tea/matcha at Intelligenstia, and caught up!MONDAY started off great with a 7am yoga flow class wth Natalie! I love her. She's amazing. This week, I prepped my work lunches and it's been a yummy thing to look forward to each day: lettuce cups with black bean hummus, brown rice, cucumbers and black beans all rolled up inside. You know me, on that health kick!TUESDAY ended with dinner at Bar Verde (fig and berry salad and red wine) and the movie Game Night with my friend Danielle. We loved the movie and laughed the whole time!WEDNESDAY I took another 7am flow with Hallie in Eagle Rock. It was a great class, per usual, and we got our chat on for a bit afterwards.Sam and I enjoyed shrimp poke, quinoa, and snap peas for dinner. The seafood dinner trend has continued this week. We are so into it!THURSDAY I took my usual 7am yoga class with Kim. The rain set the tone for a really intimate and sweaty class inside. I just love Kim's classes and her overall vibe.It was also my first real day mentoring at an Elementary School. I was paired up with my mentee and we really hit it off. Looking forward to the next 8 weeks of helping her write her story in time for The Big Show in May. :)The rest of the night, we chilled, had chicken & lentil soup, and watched A Bronx Tale.Anyway, it's been overall a good week but I'm ready for a couple days off. ;)Hope all's well with you guys!Talk to you soon,Ari
