Feel Good Friday: My Favorite Maternity Clothes

Hi guys, and Happy Friday to you!

How was the week and what’s ahead for you this weekend?

This week was good on my end—work was busy, I had my yoga course last night, and I took a few morning yoga classes that made me feel really great (especially my Wednesday flow with Natalie… talk about sweaty!).

Can’t believe I’m halfway through my teacher training! Here’s a look at one morning reading my notes over at a coffee shop. 🙂

As you may have read, I finally caved into wearing maternity clothes and I don’t know why I waited so long to make the switch! Although a lot of my regular clothes still fit me similarly at 24 weeks (today!), there’s something just so cozy and roomy about well-fitted maternity clothes. The materials are extra stretchy and soft against my growing belly. And, I’ve come to find that so many companies have really great options (affordable, too).

So, after Sam and I did a super Spring cleaning of our apartment last weekend (always feels so good to clean out), I was able to get rid of some stuff I haven’t worn in ages to make space for some new maternity pieces.

Yeah…. I have a lot of clothes.

Honestly, I think I’ll even wear some of these items after the baby’s here… they’re so cute.

I’ve found the most luck at Gap, Old Navy and Target. Plus, online shopping is just too easy guys…

Here’s what I ended up purchasing.

All three dresses are from Old Navy:

From left to right:

The “Red Floral” bodycon dress is a figure-hugging number, and it’s definitely more orangey, which I like more since I’m not a huge red person. I love how it shows off the bump!

I’m loving this black side-slit maxi dress WAY more than I expected to. It’s unbelievably soft and I like that’ll it can be dressed up or down depending on accessories. It also works well on my 5’2 frame which is always a nice surprise. 😉

The yellow waist-defined cross-front jersey dress is super cute and flowy on. Also, another soft one and I love that it drapes away from the body and has a ton of space for growth. That’ll be nice once I’m a bit bigger.

I bought these two comfy “crossover panel-style” jeans from Target’s Ingrid & Isabel maternity line:

The dark wash jeans are perfect for every day, and I love the black for more sleek/going out looks.

I love the crossover panel-style pants that I’ve been wearing the most (definitely more than the “inset panel”). I feel really comfortable and I enjoy how my tops fit smoothly over my bump without any weird buttons or zippers in the way.

Here are some other basics I got at Target:

You can’t go wrong with neutral basics like stripes, army green, and black… am I right?!

Other items I had to have:

This Gap ribbed mockneck tank in gray… which just sold out! I knew I liked it for a reason. 😉 It’s really flattering.

… This fun pink tank from Old Navy.

Here’s me in it on my walk to Whole Foods!

And of course, some roomy workout pants for yoga, c.o. Old Navy. These fit really nicely and also feature the crossover panel in front. I’m sure I’ll be wearing these through the rest of my yoga teacher training course.

There are still a few other items I’d like to buy, like maternity workout tops in particular since many of mine now are on the shorter side. I could use the extra length/space!

If you know if any other maternity brands that you’d recommend, I’m all ears.

Hope you have a great weekend and if you’re pregnant like me, I hope this post helped inspire you to go shopping for yourself. 🙂

Last but not least, here are the latest pregnancy photos of me at 23-24 weeks.
