Helllllo, and happy Monday!Hope your day is off to a great start. Here's how the weekend looked over here. :)FRIDAY Sam and I had dinner at a new (to us) spot we've been meaning to try—Mambo's Cafe in Glendale. Their Cuban food is sooooo good.If you love Cuban food or have never even tried it, we recommend going here!Below is a pic of my "Mambo's Chicken dish." Yummmmm.20171208_191144SATURDAY I took Zumba at the gym with my friends and got in a great workout. It had been a couple weeks since I had taken a class and I really missed it.Then, we went to the cutest 2-year-old's birthday party in South Bay!Just look at his Moana-themed cake.... I mean, COME ONNNNNNN.....20171209_143211.jpgMy cousin, Karen, runs her own baking company called Little Raspberry Baking Co. and she is simply incredible at what she does. This cake was just as delicious as it is beautiful. I took a slice of the top layer—carrot cake.I'm just so impressed with Karen's work. Contact me if you want to learn more about her work!Later at night, we made mulled wine because it's been on my mind all season long, haha.Expect the recipe on the blog Wednesday.Believe me, you'll want to make this.SUNDAY I got brunch at Cindy's in Eagle Rock with Sam and our friend, Val.Later, we met up with Holly to check out this art installment called "The Happy Place" to take pics and just have fun.20171210_212854

MEET ME ON THE MAT:"The path to success is to take massive, determined action." - Tony RobbinsThis quote really stuck with me and here's why...I've been thinking a lot about what being "successful" means lately and how I look at my own success in my career and life so far.To me, my successes are big and small... they're personal and professional... and, I know I have a lot more to accomplish in order for me to feel even more successful. I guess what I'm saying is, I'm always growing and learning along the way. It's true that we can all be our own worst critics at times. We are so quick to judge our failures and setbacks and the last to pat ourselves on the back. What would you consider your biggest successes? When's the last time you leaped for what you really wanted?I gotta say, for me, it's been a minute since I have leaped.  There's happiness in being comfortable but I don't know if I'll ever be happy ENOUGH just staying comfortable. It may just be part of my personality, but unless I'm reaching higher for more out of life, I almost feel like I'm settling. What are your thoughts on that?Hopefully this mantra inspires you this week. :)Take action for what you want out of life.Tony.jpgStay on your path,Ari
